Testimonials

I find Erika’s expertly balanced, client centered approach truly unique. In fact, what I most value about her as a designer is really what I most value about her as a person.

Erika knows both who she is as a designer and, yet also embraces the diverse styles of her clients and the uniqueness of their spaces and needs.

She honors the tone of the home while also adding deliberately courageous choices, making me feel safe and bold knowing my home will maintain continuity without redundancy.

While unmistakably talented, Erika remains humble and intuitively knows when to take the lead and /or follow the lead of the client and/or team collaborating on the home.

I know she takes inspiration from everything, everywhere and in that sense, she is always working for me / her clients! She is always thinking of me/ her clients while admiring light fixtures as inspiration during brunch or waking up at 5AM having solved a design challenge.

I am suspicious by nature – LOL! Yet, with Erika, I never felt ‘sold’ or pressured; the opposite was true. Erika was standing beside me, working with me to overcome all obstacles and together I am confident our family maximized both our investment and the joy we will have in our home.

Potentially most important of all, Erika balances taking her work very seriously while not taking herself too seriously. Large construction projects can be stressful at times, and I appreciate Erika being professional while also keeping it real, keeping it cool, keeping it fun and making the process thoroughly enjoyable.

Working with Erika was a true pleasure. We are so happy with the look and feel of our home. She started with us in the beginning stages and had great suggestions during construction to give our home some unique details. With so many decisions, she helped me narrow down the options and provided her expertise on things that I was clueless on.

She invested time giving us options for furnishings within our budget. She helped us select all the light fixtures, hardware, rugs and more for our home. Her assistant Merry is also great. I highly recommend Fixe Design.

FIXE Design House was exactly what I was looking for in an interior design studio! I’ve never worked with a designer before, but I knew I needed help to renovate my historic mid-century Eichler home.

I posted some photos of dream bathrooms I found online and asked friends if anyone could recommend a designer with a similar aesthetic. A neighbor recognized the photos as FIXE Design House and sent me Erika’s information. It was meant to be! I have decent design sense, but Erika’s vision was so much better than anything I could have done on my own.

She is especially adept at bringing in vintage, natural materials that warm up spaces. Renovations are overwhelming and it was so nice to have someone dealing with the contractors and materials.

She was transparent with her scope, pricing and timeline. She made the entire process stress-free and fun! She listened to my needs and worked to enhance vintage features of the spaces. The results were next level and magazine worthy. I don’t want to take on another project without her input.
